Westminster Auto Clinic was started by Larry Lorimer in 1958 at 3939 W. 72nd. Ave. In 1972 the business moved to its current location at 80th & Federal Blvd. Both Vern Torgerson and Frank Fish owned the business for several years. Mark James purchased Westminster Auto Clinic in 1991 and continues to run the business today.
Mark moved to Denver from Alamosa in 1972, after graduating from Southern Colorado State with an Associates degree in Applied Science in Diesel Engines and Technology. Mark was a field mechanic for the McCoy Company until 1981 when he aquired a Snap-On Tools dealership in the Arvada / Westminster area. In 1991, Mark took the opportunity to go from vendor to owner when he bought Westminster Auto Clinic. Mark and his wife live in Broomfield after raising two kids, now 29 and 32, in Northglenn. Mark spends his spare time four wheeling, riding motorcyles and captaining his boat on various Colorado lakes.
A Denver native, Chris and moved to San Diego at the age of twelve. He studied small engine rapair in High school and cut his teeth rebuilding engines for trucks and rv’s with a family friend. He returned to Denver when he was 20 and started with the Auto Clinic in 1993. Chris currently holds five different technician certificates and enjoys dirt bike riding and fishing in his spare time.
Born in Northglenn and a Northglenn High School alumni, Hal has over 20 years in the automotive repair industry. He is currently an ASE Master Certified Technician with an ASE certificate in advanced engine and service consultation. Hal has been with Westminster Autoclinic since 1993. His outside interests include older cars, especially his Camaro, and taking motorcycle trips.
